Update on PhD Applications for September 2024 Intake

We are pleased to announce that we have identified a sufficient number of qualified candidates for our PhD program, commencing in September 2024. These selected applicants have been invited to participate in a visiting student program at our Lab this coming November. Upon successful completion of this program, they are expected to formally join our Lab as PhD students. We would like to express our gratitude to all who have shown interest in our program. Please be advised that we have ceased accepting new PhD applications for this intake cycle, except in the event that any of the already-identified candidates decline our offer. However, we continue to offer opportunities for Research Assistant and visiting student positions, for which the interview process is ongoing. Interested individuals are encouraged to reach out to us via email for additional information.

Our survey of transactional stream processing is accepted to VLDB Journal!

[Preprint] TL;DR: Transactional stream processing (TSP) strives to create a cohesive model that merges the advantages of both transactional and stream-oriented guarantees. This survey intends to introduce TSP and present our perspective on its future progression. Our primary goals are twofold: to provide insights into the diverse TSP requirements and methodologies, and to inspire the design and development of groundbreaking TSP systems.

We built a Python API of our sesame project, which aims at building a scalable stream mining library on modern hardware.

[Link to Code] Currently, it contains several representative real-world stream clustering algorithms and several synthetic algorithms.
